4TH OF JULY
21:00 – welcoming cocktail
At 21:00 A welcoming cocktail to the Congress will be offered to all the congressmen and their partners in the gardens of the venue of the “Rei Afonso Henriques” Foundation in Zamora .
The buses will leave at 20:30 from Marina Square . At the end of the cocktail the buses will return to the same place of departure.
5TH OF JULY
18:30 – Guided visit to Zamora
By the end of the day, the buses will take congressmen and their partners who wish so from the venue of the Congress to the Plaza Mayor, where a guided visit to the monuments of Zamora will start at 18:30
The visit will include the churches of San Juan de Puerta Nueva , Santa María la Nueva and San Cipriano , a complete visit to the church of la Magdalena and a subsequent shorter visit to the church of San Ildefonso , finishing the day with the Cathedral, the Gardens of the Castle and the City Walls .
6TH OF JULY
21:00 – Congress Dinner
At 21:00 the Congress dinner for congressmen and their partners will take place in the central patio of the National Parador (Plaza de Viriato, 5).
7TH OF JULY
18:30 – Visit to Toro
At 18:30 the buses will head from the Congress venue to the city of Toro . Congressmen will enjoy a guided visit to Toro, including the Colegiata de Santa María la Mayor first, and then the churches of San Lorenzo, San Salvador and finally the one of San Sebastián 's.
Later, congressmen will go to Fariña wine cellar, guaranteed of origin and quality of Toro, where they will make a guided visit and subsequent wine tasting. At the end of the visit the buses will return to Marina Square .

4TH OF JULY
11:00 – Guided visit to Zamora
At 11:00 a guided visit to the city of Zamora and its Museums will begin, addressed to the persons accompanying the congressmen..
5TH OF JULY
10:00 – “Arribes” of the Duero
At 10:00 a bus will take the accompanying persons who wish so from Marina Square to the “Arribes" of the Duero . The day trip will include the villages of San Pedro de la Nave , Puente Pino, Fariza, Fermoselle, where lunch will be taken, and finally Pereruela. At the end of the day trip the buses will return to the departure place.
6TH OF JULY
10:00 – Salamanca
At 10:00 a bus will take the accompanying persons who wish so from Marina Square to the city of Salamanca , where a guided visit will take place, followed by a lunch. At the end of the visit, the buses will return to the departure place.
7TH OF JULY
10:00 – Monastery of Moreruela and Lakes of Villafáfila
At 10:00 a bus will take the accompanying persons who wish from Marina Square so to the amazing ruins of the Monastery of Moreruela first, and then to the natural reserve of the lakes of Villafáfila where lunch will be taken. At the end of the day trip the buses will return to the departure place.
Social activities for the week-end
The congress members who wish to extend their stay in Zamora for the week-end will have the possibility to visit the “Arribes” of the Duero on Saturday, (including a ride in boat and a lunch in Miranda de Douro), and Salamanca (including a lunch in the city) on Sunday.
The price of the visit to the “Arribes" of the Duero is 36 € and to Salamanca 32 € per person. A minimum of 20 persons is required; Congress members can register until Thursday, the 6th of July at the Congress Secretariat.
Parallels activities
Apart from the official Social Activity Programme, congress members will have the possibility to attend a series of activities which will take place parallel to the Congress, such as:
Concert the Singing Stones¡
The group Caravasar will provide an amazing concert of Mediterranean music, performed with medieval instruments, within the programme The Singing Stones in its 2006 cycle.

Vestiges- Exhibition of medieval fragments An exhibition of Romanesque treasures guarded by the Bishopric/Diocese of Zamora , unique opportunity to admire objects which are not available to the public the rest of the year.

Teatral Routes
Theatre performances of different stories related to the Middle Age, carried out by some amateur theatre groups of the city. The groups form a procession, with musician, games o popular elements, which go with their representation all over the Historical part of the city.
Route 1 : “the Romancero” (Collection of ballads)
Dates: Tuesday the 4 th , and Sunday the 9 th of July 2006
The theatre groups La Tijera and Atrezzo will start at 21:00 from the Viriato Square a route which will take them to San Cipriano, Fray Diego de Deza Square , Troncoso,the Betrayal Gate, the Castle's gardens and Arias Gonzalo's House.
Route 2: Legends of Zamora
Dates: Wednesday the 5 th and Saturday the 8 th of July 2006
The theatre groups Tizona Teatro and Juan del Encina will start at 21:00 from Viriato Square a route which will take them to the Santa María la Nueva Square , San Cipriano's viewpoint, the Church of Carmen of San Isidro , the Castle's garden and the Bishop's Gate.
Route 3: The Well-Encircled
Date: Thursday the 6 th and Friday the 7 th of July 2006
The theatre groups Natus and Fantasía will start at 21:00 from Viriato Square a route which will take them to San Martin Square , San Bernabé's Viewpoint, the Betrayal Gate, Battlements on the Field of Truth and the Cid's House.

Exhibition of terra-cotta models by Segundo Cabrero
The whole collection of Zamora artist Segundo Cabrero's models, nearly a thousand, will be exhibited for the first time on the occasion of the Congress, mostly terra-cotta pieces of Romanesque churches from Castile and Leon .

Exhibition of models by the Santa María la Real Foundation
A selection of the famous models by the Santa María la Real Foundation , outstanding pieces from a technical point of view, where the visitors will be able to appreciate all the details –even the inside- of Romanesque churches.

Lecture
As a doubtless amazing opportunity, Dr Margarita Ruiz Maldonado, Professor at Salamanca University , will give a lecture on the basic characteristics of the Romanesque Art, using as an example the Romanesque church of the Magdalena , which will be used as a frame of the lecture.
