Church of Santa Maria de Tábara

12th century

The church has had several alterations. The side walls, the tower and the doorways have been preserved from Romanesque period. The alterations made during the 18th century preserved the Romanesque structure.

The southern doorway consists of a semicircular plain arch, 2 archivolts and a checkered molding on chamfered impost ended by a convex molding and jambson plain jambs resting on 2 columns. The easternmost has a capital with simple concave oval leaves. 

The tower has 3 opening sections which are separated by chamfered imposts.
