Church of Santa María la Antigua

13th century

It is one of the first parishes in the city becoming one of the most important. It is built right up against the city walls. The head part, the perimeter walls and pillar bases have been preserved.

It has basilica plan, and there are a nave and 2 aisles separated by semicircular arches resting on pillars.

The main doorway is in the southern wall. It consists of 3 semicircular arches with angled-brick frieze ended by a band of bricks which are cut in nacelle.
